- Marcus said: "People in war go through so much, people here look at the TV, feel sorry and look away" This tells me that Marcus is filled with emotions, feelings, and most importantly pain, Because his head is spinning, with thoughts about his dad, his mom, taking care of his sister. If you ask me he is acting very mature for his age.
- To be honest i think all Eric Walter books are believable, He makes such detailed books that you actually think he went through the pain. The characters are very realistic because there are things going on in the world and it gives us a better idea of whats happening to our world, and not only what the soldiers are going through but there family members to. I cannot relate but after this book i really have a good idea of what there going through. Most movies about soldiers are all about them fighting, etc. But what this book reminded me off was the movie "Dear John" in this book and movie they both talk about all the pain and not only the violence involved. Marcus seems very mature and grown up, he is taking a big load on himself, when Marcus, asked the girl to the dance it sorta reminded me of the people and friends around me because this shows that not only Marcus is a serious, and mature person. But inside he is still a kid.
- It was so real it was as if you were there with them and just watching there every movement. You can just imagine the facial expressions, feelings, and things they where going through. This is because in Wounded Eric Walters made it so detailed as though he has gone through something like that, and you can imagine the research he has done to make this book he has put so much effort, And it shows.
